Why this exists.
Most AI coverage either assumes too much (written for engineers who already know what an embedding is) or over-hypes for clicks rather than clarity. In the middle, there's a huge audience: everyday professionals who hear "AI" every day at work and just want to know where to start.
aitention.net is built for them. Clarity over hype. Useful over impressive. Beginner-friendly without being patronising.
How I built it.
The goal was to ship a living publication, not a polished-but-dead brand deck. That meant choosing tools that let me iterate on content as fast as on design, and automating the parts that don't need a human every day.
- Defined the audience sharply: non-technical beginners, not early adopters
- Built a magazine-style identity that reads editorial, not startup-tech
- WordPress + Elementor for speed of content iteration
- WooCommerce for future template/product sales
- Content architecture: News, Toolbox, Templates, Guides
- Scheduled AI agent that drafts and publishes news posts daily
Daily news agent with active schedule, full editor brief, publish-to-WordPress
Clarity over hype. Useful over impressive.
What shipped.
Replace these numbers with real ones once you're comfortable sharing them. The format communicates scale even when numbers are modest.
What I'd tell someone starting one.
Audience clarity beats visual polish. Deciding "this is for beginners, not builders" ruled out 80% of design and content choices. Everything got easier after.
Ship the content engine before the brand system. A brand without content is a business card. Content without a brand still teaches people something.
Tone of voice is the moat. Anyone can list AI tools. Almost no one does it without sounding either robotic or breathless.
Let's build
something great.
